~ Welcome to my little corner of the interwebs, where sanity is optional, there is giggling at crime scenes, and it is always herbstlich um mitternacht ~

those who track/write mature FF fics…

    random-nexus:

…you may want to find out if they update anywhere else, or make a secondary home for own work.

    See tag and here

Fics are being deleted for summaries not being G rated, for stories containing curse words and mature content that FF feel don’t fit the rating and in some cases accounts being completely deleted. Notifications are not being sent, nor chances to rectify offered.

    It’s f’ing harsh, IMHO!

Are… are you fucking kidding me?

The clear, hard eyes were dimmed for a moment, and the firm lips were shaking. For the one and only time I caught a glimpse of a great heart as well as of a great brain. All my years of humble but single-minded service culminated in that moment of revelation.

And that will always be my favourite part of the canon.

I suppose we have actually seen bits of this in canon already, but god, if nothing else I want this scene in Season 3. A proper portrayal of the Three Garridebs, though it may be asking a bit much as we’ve seen Sherlock worry over John before. But that scene, that scene in the books was just… ahhh, what a moment. Benedict and Martin both have such control over their facial expressions, I want to see that scene.

I’m curious how many people have, because it feels like I’m the only one.

re-reading after more than a decade, actually.

    Same here.

More than a decade also. I picked it up briefly; need to get back to it.

Many ages ago in the beforetimes, when I was a spawnling. I think I re-read in my thirties?  Somewhere…  So good.

Also read it more than a decade ago, and actually liked it better than the LOTR trilogy. Tru fax.

To create a more humorous atmosphere during the filming of “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” Jeremy Brett would take photographs of unsuspecting members of cast and crew and stick them to a notice board for everyone to see. Here is a photo of Colin Jeavons sleeping, a few hours before make-up, with David Burke to his right.
He’s so adorable when he’s asleep!

Awww <3 David Burke appears to be nodding off there too :)
